MOVED.
This has been coming for a long time now (around 5 months in "planning"). I'm finally moving LJs after having this one since the beginning of 2005. I've changed a lot over the years, and as much as I think this specific name fits me well, it's time to relocate. I've also sort of... drifted from a lot of people on my flist, and I'm not sure a simple defriending will help matters any. It's easier this way for both of us, I think.

But, of course, if I don't add you back & you want to know what's up/why I didn't add you/you still really want to be friends, you can just lj message me. I'll answer you back, promise.

With that said, here are a few things I should mention:

❶ Please don't be offended/worried if I don't add you RIGHT AWAY. There's a very good change that I might be busy until Monday. Life-type stuff & all that.

❷ If I don't add you at all, well. I'm sorry. It probably means that I didn't feel like there was a connection there anymore, and -- like I always say -- despite the silly/pointless entries? I'm a private person when it comes to my feelings. I realize there are filters for a reason, but after a while I didn't feel like posting anything at all. But thank you for sticking around this long. ♥ I appreciate it.

❸ If I did add you, my new username isn't SUPER SEEKRET or anything. Don't particularly care if someone knows who I am, but I'd rather not put it public for a while due to random adders. Nonetheless, if you don't know it's me, check the newest journal that added you for an entry saying it's me. If not, I'll probably tell you in private.

Communities I maintain will be run by this username until uh. I stop being lazy. I.e. Icons will be posted with this one, etc. & yes, my username will be up in a sticky note in the near future. I'm not trying to hide, after all. I just need some time to straighten out things.

FUCKING. AWESOME.

kldscmdsmklc I cannot believe it was as good as I thought it would be. Seriously. I just-- don't really know what to say at this point. Though yeah, I do have a few things to say, it's just hard getting my bearings together in order to review the movie.

- Yes, the mighty Rika did get motion sickness from the movie. Though I blame peachpillow's popcorn that I ate on an empty stomach. So I had to look away a few times and shake it off.

- The whole thing being shot with a hand held camera was probably the best idea I have ever heard of. Seriously. It gave a more "real" effect to the movie, like I was actually there and it was all true. A real documentary and all that. It was just... epicly filmed. I'm very happy.

- I wanted to cry for the monster. Yes, I'm serious. I'm not even sure why, I just felt bad for it the entire time and thought, "IT JUST NEEDS A HUG!" Though with that said I was like "FUCK YES THIS IS THE BEST MONSTER EVER!" Take that, people who said it was Godzilla. Take. That.

- Alright the girl exploding is going to give me nightmares. I got a tiny bit queasy at that whole scene, 'cause I can't stand seeing the innards of people and blood and w/e.

- The special effects were amazing. I don't know, I'm just always blown away how great technology is today and how they can make all this stuff look, once again, real. Like, despite not being one for heads being chopped off and monsters tearing into flesh, I really enjoy movies where things explode. Don't ask me why, I don't even know. It gets me excited.

- All-in-all I want to go see it again. Who's up for this? Just remind me to eat two hours ahead and keep some water next to me. And to not let me touch a piece of popcorn.

All I have to say is this: errorism? I think you'll like it. I'm really, really excited to hear what you have to say afterwards. WHY ISN'T IT FEBRUARY YET?!

Other than that my computer caught a huge ass virus and I spent all today cleaning it out with my friend Denny. Bless his soul, I was about to cry the night before because I couldn't do anything about it. I used to be computer savvy, but nowadays I can't do anything. Need an extra hand to help me, for serious.

Um I know I said I wouldn't disable comments after my last entry, but I really need to do my Reading homework before 12AM or else I won't get eight hours of sleep. So until then, shamelessly plugging this:

For one who's a huge fan of Burton's films, I gotta say I was never excited to see Sweeney Todd. Thought that I might as well wait until it came out on DVD to watch it, even though I usually run to the theater at top speed when Burton releases a film. Not because it was a musical, but it never caught my interest as much as it should have. And usually dark, twisted films never fail to catch my attention, either.

I thought it was just simple disinterest in a movie (it happens once in a blue moon) so when Jenn said she wanted to see it, I decided that maybe it'll be a good one for the big screen.

And it was. I don't regret that $11.50 I spent on it.

It's gotta be the first time I ever sat there as the credits were rolling and went, "... huh." Not a bad 'huh', just a bewildered/confused one.

Yes, I got the film. Yes, I got the important themes and what-not. It just didn't end the way I expected it to, you know? Kind of waited for some kind of surprise buttsex continuation or whatever at the very end, but then it just went to the credits. Didn't feel like much was resolved.

All-in-all, though? Good film. The cinematography was gorgeous, as I expected. The whole singing thing made me twitch until 20 minutes into the movie. I'm not one for movie!musicals, that's why. Stuff like Enchanted is okay since they aren't singing in every other scene, but I was like, "OH MY GOD CAN WE GET SOME ACTUAL LINES, PLEASE?" ... then I sort of got used to it and it wasn't an issue anymore. Gave more impact on some scenes, anyway.

Think I'm gonna give the movie, as a whole, a B/B+. Epic music deserves an A+, though.

Mom's having her surgery tomorrow and angels_burn is coming to visit from the 9th to the 12th (it'll be our first meeting anniversary ♥). Art dumpings & being social... in Kingdom Hearts;

I. ART DUMP TIME. It's been a long time since I've done one. Unfortunately there's no smut this time around, but I've done a wide variety in the past few months. I'm actually pretty ashamed that I haven't been drawing as much as usual, but oh well. Artist's block sucks.

Okay, so this first batch was the beginning of me practicing different styles, and I chose Bleedman to start off with. It's a style I've always liked but never thought about trying out, sooo I did it. Yeah.

Alice from American McGee's Alice. Reference picture used was this. I like the claw thing, so I had to doodle it.
This is obviously unfinished, and I won't finish it anytime soon.

Marluxia and Larxene. At first I just wanted to draw Larxene, but then I doodled Marluxia, didn't like him in the picture, but got too lazy to erase him out. Besides, they're such a backstabbing team. I love it.

Larxene again! Only in some funky clothes. I don't even know.

SORA. ♥ I think I like this one the best, but I admit that I'm a bit biased.

I didn't like Roxas' pose after a while, though I said screw it and left him like that.

Anyhow, this next batch is something I did for duogami, because Ichigo/Roxas is my OTP. Or at least my crossover OTP.

... and not-so silly ones. This was actually the start of this project thing I'm working on, which still isn't done, but I still want to pull through with it. I just need to brush up on my CGing skills.

Diagram-thingie for said project. It was cute so I scanned it in.

Older!Pirate Sora. Part of the project, actually. I don't like a lot of things on this one, but his outfit was fun to draw.

Quickest two-paged storyboard comic I've ever done. Another one for the project. Not showing the larger version(s) because they're quite terrible.

And now for some random fun stuff! I've been doodling chibi-like stuff in the past few days, and I'm not even sure why. It's just different, and a nice change of pace.

... I really tired to put Roxas in pants. I really, really did. But alas. AND DEMYX~! I need to draw more of him. He's my faaavorite Org. character besides Roxas.

After all this chibi stuff I got worried that I was switching styles again, so I tried drawing like I normally draw.
... not too sure what to think about it. It's symbolism, as usual. I never draw things like this that are to the point, but that's the whole fun of it. All I know is that Sora's turning Anti and Roxas is there in a tunic. Yeah, it's supposed to be a tunic, but as usual it looks like a dress. I've given up fighting over those urges.

And then I went back to cutesy stuff. duogami? This is for you. So yeah, it was something Ichigo/Roxas.

II. Okay, so I was tagged for a meme and I guess I should do it.

Rules of the Game

1. I have to wash my face at least once before I go to bed. No matter how tired I am I get up and do it or else I won't be able to sleep.

2. Sleep is a pretty important thing to me. Most of my high school years were spent living off of 2 hours of sleep a night. So for at least 5 days of the week I'd get maybe 9-10 hours. The weekends? I'd be very lucky if I got 5 hours each night. So this year I've been basically catching up on what I've missed in those four years. It's wonderful, I'll have you know.

3. I get worked up pretty easily. If you say something to offend me or one of my friends? I'll get grumpy very quickly. But normally I can get back into happy mode if something good happens.

4. I just... can't listen to music when I'm trying to concentrate. Can't turn it on when I'm talking to someone, or I'm RPing or comment spamming. Sometimes I can do it if there's no lyrics, but most of the time I get overwhelmed and can't function correctly unless I'm focusing on one thing at a time.

5. Soda and I don't get along. I think it's a disgusting drink, and I'd rather have water than anything else. That or juice. I love juice.

6. My hair color/style changes frequently. Mom says I should just cut my hair really short and get a ton of wigs to match my mood for the day. I think that's an excellent idea, I just need to uh. Make money before I splurge on wigs.

7. Normally I'm pretty laid-back, but every now and then I need to get out and DO something. And if I don't? I just sit here being extremely restless. Which isn't a good thing. I really need to get out of California, I think.

8. Sometimes I can eat a ton and other times I eat little to nothing. Though no matter what I still take 5 hours to finish one meal.

III. M'not sure what's going on with me lately. I've been really sluggish and exhausted, despite not doing anything. And I'm getting sleepy at random, which makes me really incoherent and I hates it, especially when I have people I need/want to talk to for more than 30 minutes. So I try to shake it off, but I still go to bed feeling like I've ran a marathon. This is good only for the fact that I can actually sleep without tossing around for hours on end, but. Ugh.

Do not want, body. Do not want.

IV. Oh yeah. Tomorrow I'm going to go work for my (second) cousin Tony in order to earn some cash. I'm... working as a maid. Yeah, that's right, you heard me, a maid. Amazingly enough I don't have to wear any fancy costume (if he did it even as a joke I'd punch him) but I'm going to be working my ass off tomorrow. Cleaning is serious business when I'm being paid by the hour.

I also got a call from a friend I haven't spoken to in a long while. We used to be really close, so it's always been awkward for us to talk. Anyway, she wanted to know if I wanted to help out Barnes and Noble on the opening night on the last Harry Potter book. I'd be playing games with kids, doing face painting, stuff like that.

... should I go? I'm not sure, myself.

Anyway, enough yammering. Time to either go lay down or post something up at bridgehigh. Repliku's application was accepted, so I should post as him. Maybe.

Disneyland and submarine rides... in Kingdom Hearts;

Disneyland yesterday was kind of fun. It was the first time in forever that I spent most of my day with my mom, and I could tell that she was having a lot of fun. Which is good, because we're both shut-ins (when she's not at work, I mean) and needed to get out and about. But seriously, I haven't joked around with her like that since I was... 10, or something. So it was nice.

Anywhore, I have photos, as usual! Not a lot, but enough:

♥ DISNEYLAAAAAND~! ♥

Disneyland ducks, as promised for moving. It's become tradition to take at least one photo of a duck when I go there. Funny story behind the duck, though. It goes something like this:

Me: MOM.
Mom: Eh?
Me: DUCKS. I need to get a photo of a duck or some ducks before we do anything, okay?
Mom: Okay, sure!
Me: Now where are the ducks? [poking around one of the ponds]
Mom: [looking looking looking--] AH! I see one!
Me: WHERE?!
Mom: At the other side of the pond-thing!
Me: [RUNS]
Mom: [RUNS TOO]
Me: ... he's getting away!
Mom: QUICK TAKE A PHOTO.
Me: I'M TRYING-!

And let's not forget about the people who were staring at us the entire time. :') Disneyland is the only place that can make me act like I'm 5 years old in a heartbeat.

Pirates! Yarr. I've been talking about where exactly I want to work at if I get a job at Disneyland, and besides the costumes being horrendously hot at the Haunted Mansion, I still want to work there the most. Though the Pirate costumes aren't so bad, either. Plus I get to work inside, so.

Anyway, another funny conversation:

Me: I get to see my boyfriend~ ♥
Mom: Wait, who?
Me: Davy Jones! He's in this ride.
Mom: Ugh. I can't see why you like him so much. He's all tentacle-ish and yuck.
Me: But... his story is so sad!
Mom: [giving me a funny look]
Me: SERIOUSLY. You saw the movies! Cutting out his own heart? That's really tragic. I'd give him my love!
Mom: [thinking about it] ... [gives the :< face] ... oh. That is really sad.
Me: I TOLD YOU.

A moment later.

Me: So if Davy Jones was my real boyfriend, how would you take it?
Mom: ... I'd be racist and tell you that you're not allowed to date sea-creatures.
Me: JERK.
Mom: WELL.
Me: ... haha. I bring him over to dinner, right? And you quickly hide the seafood you made.
Mom: PFFT.

It's so, so hard to get decent shots of the inside of the ride.
I tried, but if you don't use the flash it's pretty impossible to get any photos.

Sitting outside later on when waiting for mom to finish up her cancer stick.
Got bored so I took a few more photos for no reason at all.

FINALLY. The new ride at Disneyland! It's taken off of the move Finding Nemo, and. Yeah. I was pretty excited.

It was really cool from the beginning (the outside). The water is all pretty and stuff~ plus the "Mine" birds weren't as annoying as I thought they'd be. They kept shouting "MINE MINE MINE" over a short period of time, and I just giggled and watched them when I was waiting in line.

I know this means nothing to anyone, especially since it's blurry, but you get inside and that's what you look at. Everyone has these little windows in each seat, which, in my opinion, is way too small. The seats were kind of uncomfortable, too. But the ride itself? Oh, my lord.

Okay, so I thought it was going to be just some cheesy animatronics, but no. Besides that there was CG animation under the water. It was really, really amazing. Everything looked so real, and I was flailing and wondering how exactly they did that. Just. LKSAklsakjsd the artist inside me was really pleased with the ride itself.

I admit I got a little scared, though. Claustrophobia + tight submarines = do not want, though the animation distracted me for the better half of the ride. Plus there was this one part where it was super dark and you could only see the sea mines, and. Yeah. I don't even know why that freaked me out. Probably because I have this thing about being underwater. PHOBIA.

Crappy photo is crappy, but this is the sub I went on. Hurrah! I surviiiived.

FOODSES. ♥ Tasty delicious. And yes, I did eat all of that (saved 1/3 of the pasta for home, though), except for the chicken at the side. That was for my mom.

We were sitting around waiting for the fireworks to start, but apparently they cut them off for the night. I was really, really disappointed, but only because the fireworks are my favorite at Disneyland. Sadface. Mom felt bad so she wanted to buy me something awesome when we were walking out of D-land, but there was nothing I could find, really. Then again everything is so horrifically overpriced, so. Do not want.

But the castle is super pretty at night. ♥ So much love. And no, I haven't gotten tired of going to Disneyland just yet. It never gets old to me, no matter how many times a month I go.

Other than that I... have nothing else of importance to say. Iconing is a bitch right now, so I stopped after cropping more bases. So now it's time to do laundry then watch Little Nemo, since my mom's friend let her borrow it. We really do lack in the Disney movie department, despite how much I love it. Oh well.
